Park at CHIJMES or else at Raffles City
Egg wrapper for peking duck. Deeeeelish!
The 2 veg + 3 mushroom is good The shark fin , average. The roast pork cube : not the best I tried, but goodThe Peking duck, I am slightly disappointed, but average The claypot rice, the rice is good. Average tasteOverall, good ambient , average service, above average food. The price is above reasonable if you are not going for luxuries dishes. Will I come again? Most probably
Nice to know the quality of food is still well maintained. Would definitely be back for dim sum lunch.
Great food. Wonder why it's forgotten when we plan corporate events... perhaps we are all keen to try new places...
Good Chinese food and ambiance. Friendly staff. If you like Chinese cuisine, can give a try. Durian dessert was good too.
We had a variety of dim sum and their fried dumpling. Their egg tart is good. Very fine and delicious Chinese cuisine.Service was prompt and immaculate. Can get very crowded, call to book in advance.Located inside Chijmes, a beautiful square in the city.Highly recommended.
Celebrated my dad's birthday there by ordering 48++ per pax set lunch. Food quality is high as usual cos have been there several times for company treat as well. Alternatively ordering lunch dim sum can be a good choice too! Just that during peak hour the food serving speed can be slow, so be patient and relax. It will worth the wait.
Maintained its usual standard. Ordered garoupa fillet with asparagus and that was good. Also had the char siew (had better ones). The daily soup is a must try. Always tasty. Then had some dim sum to go along.
Decent dim sum, service is good. Book in advance
The one at hk is so much nicer.
Had a couple executive set lunch and farewell dinners at this fine restaurant before. This is the first time I had dim sum there and I must say I was not disappointed. We had about 12 dishes and honestly they were all great. The oil and flour they use is so fine, you rarely find such places around. It is pricey but worth a try for special occasions like father's day.
Michelin one ⭐️ 🤗🤗🤗🤗compare char siew I prefer the roasted pork. Shank fin bones soup with fish maw was good abalone said is five head also the sauce taste delicious 😋 crab meat 🦀 e fu noodles 🍝 was good but the presentation Can be nicely. Desserts first bowl was no egg white and I ask for change and left the first bowl here. . Service can be improve like talk softer with other colleagues during operation. Impressed all service staffs always carry tray to serve and doing clearing. will visit during lunch for the yummy 😋 dim sum
We had a dim sum lunch at Lei Garden during the Chinese New Year period. Food was good but service was slow and it's pretty pricey. Recommended for large groups and families because dishes are in sharing style so you get to try more if you come in a large group. For large groups, do reserve beforehand.I will return to Lei Garden but only if I'm not on a budget.
Top notch fine chinese cuisine.
The food in this Hong Kong restaurant was really good. I enjoyed pretty much every dish we ordered, and my favourite was the claypot spicy glass noodles. As we were celebrating a birthday, we ordered the peach buns and were pleasantly surprised by the ginger and peach display piece they came decorated in. The only complaint would perhaps be that they often showed us the dish before bringing it away to cut and prepare into individual servings before bringing the dish out again. And for the salt immersed chicken especially, it took what felt like close to 30 minutes before being brought out again. The restaurant was not very crowded either so that was unexpected. Tea refilling was also a bit slow, especially for the people sitting further in perhaps because it is harder to reach them. Overall however, really enjoyed the experience and food! They do offer items that are not too pricey, and could be an option for a special occasion~
Like the ambience of this restaurant. Cozy and relax. A good place for family gathering. Food is above average.
Everything we ordered was tasty! Loved those mushroom Dim Sum, the taste is great and the way they look made me post 3 different pictures(: Everything else was also very good. The staff is quick and effective. Overall a good place to have a quick lunch.
Worthy 1 Michelin Star canton restaurant.
The set lunch was valuable but maybe I expected more from a Michelin restaurant. Flavours were good but not impressive.
Never fail to please, great service and good food, reasonable priced. You should try their claypot rice. Like the dim sum spread too.... always satisfying. Highly recommended!!
+ Well cooked food. Most Servers are experienced and tactful.- Not the best place for medium to large private functions. Space was an issue for servers and hosts to walk around to interact with various tables.- Guests were not properly guided up for a private function. Hope they could be more enthusiastic in helping a lost diner get settled upstairs.
Great ambience, atas! Good service, not too crowded on a weekday. Dim sum was very good but chee cheong fun was a little thicker than those at Imperial Treasure. Dim sum came in fours. $40+ pp. Complimentary two hours parking.
Good dim sum, not too expensive for the traditional dishes. Ambience was great.
Visited Lei Garden for a birthday celebration. Pre-ordered the winter melon soup 1 day in advance to lessen waiting time. The Peking duck skin was not very crispy but the meat was really tender. Lobster udon had a special peppery flavour. Don't forget to order dessert, the double boiled apricot! the restaurant has a traditional atmosphere in the heart of the city. Service staff was excellent.
A place to consider for dim sum. The chee cheong fan sheets were probably thicker than I expected, but everything else was good. They will fill up your tea regularly. Thumbs up.
I love the place and food especially the roasted pork😋
The food is nice; up-scale Chinese restaurant quality. The pork belly was really well done. The reason for the three stars is the service quality. Now I get that Mandarin is not my forte and I'm sorry if I can't read nor speak Mandarin at your level. But when the waitress starts avoiding orders altogether because we can't speak Mandarin in a Chinese restaurant; we have a problem. The communication was so abysmal I actually learned a new word for Lobster.. = Lorrister. Now THAT was quality entertainment.. it was a really nice lorrister tho 😆 I prolly should've double checked with that waitress if she meant lorrister with double r or single 🤔
Their chaxiu is amazing. Best I’ve ever had!!
Good and (normal) food and service.
Had to make reservations, other restaurants are fully booked. Great place for dimsum, tasty food and pretty ambience, service was attentive. The price point is good for the quality of food we are getting. One comment is they didn't have small tables for smaller groups.
Good food and service. Best to make reservation on weekends
Lei garden is a michelin one star restaurant. It is located at CHIJMES. The ambience is fantastic; insta worthy. Food was above average but pricey. Considering the view and its location, I think it is worthwhile for special occasion. Top 3 recommendations from me :)1) Rice served in concentrated lobster bisque2) Glutinous dumpling with sesame paste fillings3) Steamed prawn dumpling (har gow)
Love their private room with customized menu
Nice food and nice atmosphere :) would recommend to try the peking duck and the lotus.
Cozy and perfect place to celebrte special events such as anniversaries and birthday treats. My part and I had our anniversary dinner at this restaurant. Sugar Coated Walnut was served for our appetizer and this two-style dish combining scrumptious lobster steamed with egg-white, and sautéed diced lobster with pine nuts served in a fried rice paper nest was our main dish. The dish we had make our celebration more special. Highly recommended!
No 1 best soup in sg!
Nestled in the midst of Chijmes' lush garden setting, this upmarket cantonese restaurants appears to be popular among expatriates and tourists during my visit. Despite being a busy restaurant, the service crew is attentive and prompt in service. The quality of food is great and I especially liked the fact that they were flexible in adjusting the set menu portion and price to the number of diners. The assortment of dim sums I had was great. Also the black pepper lobster noodles is exceptional with generous serving of fresh lobster. However, the peking duck was a slight letdown as I find it lack crispness and little too oily. Or perhaps, I am not used to the rich flavours of authentic cantonese dishes.
Good food. Friendly serving staff.
We had a set menu this time. The dishes are pretty unique especially the bird nest that is cooked in savoury style. It taste almost like shark fins soup if you add a dash of vinegar to it. Others dishes in the menu included the pan fried kurabuta pork and poached tiger groupa fillet in stock. Although the fresh mango juice with pomelo and sago dessert was simple but it was very well done.
To be honest I had higher hopes given its accolades and long standing position. The prices were right up there but the protein content was very stingy. Table service lovely but wine list again sitting at about 450% markup on the bottles we recognised.Glad to have gone but wouldn't recommend, if that makes any sense.
It was my first time trying the food at this Michellin Guide restaurant. My first experience tells you that you won't regret trying this restaurant. The food is fabulous and I give it 5 star rating. The double boiled Sea Treasure Soup and the deep fried lobster with salted egg yolk and golden pumpkins dishes are highly recommended. The waiter told us that the soup need to order in advance and the soup went through 8 hrs of slow boiling, really very good (a must try)! See my photo attached with this this review.
Love the crystal dumplings and custard bun and other lunchtime entrées.. Will be back. Good attentive service.
Food and ambience was great, would recommend the Peking Duck and the Sauteed Beef Cubes, Goose Liver with Basil Leaf and Spring Onion. The beef is soft and tender, great flavour and goose liver was cooked pretty well as well.
Dim sum still good, service excellent but other dishes are hit and miss
Service too gd... the staffs keep staring at our table till we are so stressed eating our food... clear our plate immediately once finish, change our plate from small to smaller one, keep filings our tea, adjusting our table... Peking duck skin is not up to expectations but the meat fried with noodles is gd n tender ,egg tart is gd.. rest of the food we ordered taste so so..
Quality dim sum and enjoyed our food though I can't say much for the service. We were there at 1245pm and quite a few of their dishes such as bbq pork, bbq pork pastry etc were sold out? I had to call the service staff back a few times to check on items. Not a fan of ordering food manually with a paper and pencil. The ordering sheet was printed badly - what happened to this restaurant? I use to remember it being extremely well run with attentive service.
Good Chinese food and ambience. Friendly staff. If you like Chinese cuisine, can give a try.
Celebrated family member's birthday and the food didn't disappoint. Very well prepared and tasty. Staff was very attentive. Only food that needed improvement was the Char Siew, no charred taste, and meat was not marinated enough.
Very good quality food. Nice ambience. Service was also very good.
